Dryness/Dehydration

Updated: Apr 13, 2020

Did you know only 2% of the water that you drink goes to your skin and your skin is the largest organ of the human body.

That’s definitely not enough and especially with this chilly weather your skin tends to get very dry, dehydrated and flaky and also can feel very tight😖

Dryness is lack of oil

Dehydration is lack of water

Most people try to treat dry flaky skin with thick lotions which just sits on the top the skin and sometimes even oils on the skin like coconut oil or almond oil which can clog your pores causing keratosis pillaris on the body and sometimes acne on the face.

In this case hyaluronic Acid can be your best friend.

Our own skin cells actually produce hyaluronic acid naturally in a bid to maintain moisture levels but environment aggressors can cause dehydration.

Just a single gram of hyalironic acid can hold upto 6 litres of water so topically applied on the skin can help with dehydration and flakiness and using thick emollient creams/oil after hyaluronic can help lock in moisture and that solves your dry skin problem 💕
